This article is an initiative of a series of articles (series) to be published as the results of a field ethnographic expedition organised from 2019 by three authors specifically to collect the material culture of the Kazakhs living in the Altai village of the Republic of Turkey, the municipality of Ulukishla (Nigde), Salihli, Izmir and Istanbul. The mentioned article deals with the acceptance of Altai Kazakhs as migrant guests, their resettlement, ethnic composition, and a brief overview of the past and present life of Kazakhs living in the Altai village of the city of Niida, Ulikyshlinsky district, and Altai Kazakhs in Turkey. Because the village of Altai is considered a respected and revered home of the Altai Kazakhs. The purpose of studying the ethnographic and historical and cultural values of the Kazakhs of Altai is to study the history, the material culture of the Kazakh nomads, the elements of the material culture connected with the phenomena of the nomadic culture. Carrying out a comprehensive study based on the methodological approach of W. Heissig and K. Uraj-Kochalmi in the course of study based on the descriptive method of collecting ethnographic data, the materials were recorded on tape through direct meetings with Altai Kazakhs, questions ans answers of informants. In addition, the documents preserved in memory, pictures were analysed. A review of the past and present was carried out using the historical syncronous-diachronic method. The responces of the informants were then collated and supplemented with articles, books, novels, memoirs and academic works written in modern times. The past of the Kazakhs in the village of Altai was summarised and systematised, and the way of life and lifestyle in the context of globalisation was captured in a letter. This multi-layered series of articles will allow further study of Kazakh history, culture, ethnic features and locations of each clan, and even features of clothing and jewellery, locations, in a word, material culture and customs.
