Abstract

Özbekistan’ın Ekonomik Yapısı ve Türkiye ile Ekonomik İlişkilerinin Gelişimi

Turkey is the first country to recognize the independence of Uzbekistan and the relations between the two countries are based on blood ties and kinship relations. After Uzbekistan's declaration of independence, the multi-faceted relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan have made great progress in every field. In the beginning, many agreements were made that constitute economic cooperation in order to transfer social, cultural and political relations to the economic environment and to base them on a legal basis. However, the break in the political relations firstly reflected on the diplomatic persons of the two countries and then on the economic relations. Thus, the economic relations, which started on a good ground, became stagnant over time. Mirziyoyev, who was elected President after the death of the founding President of Uzbekistan Karimov, made an effort to restore the relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey. In this study, the commercial and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey, which gained their independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union, were examined. In the study, firstly, general information about the economy of Uzbekistan was given, then Turkey-Uzbekistan trade relations were evaluated.
