The procedure of taking evidence in international commercial arbitration is a very important point for the parties to prove their claims. However the evidentiary rules which are applied in international commercial arbitration have a very strong effect on efficiency and effectiveness of arbitration. In this study; (i) the legal concept of taking evidence and determination of evidentiary rules in international commercial arbitration and ; (ii) historical processes and aims of IBA Rules and Prague Rules, and (iii) the new regulations of Prague Rules which are different from the IBA Rules, will be examined
