The article deals with the main theoretical issues and functional mechanisms of the concept of religious studies expertise.This situation requires the scientific community to develop a unified methodology in order to ensure the quality of religious studies expertise at the national level. It is clear that the expert conducting the expertise will have legal instructions issued by the authorized body, however, in order to improve the quality of the expertise, it is very important to systematize the general scientific methodological principles. Due to the fact that the expert's opinion sometimes plays a decisive role for religious associations and individual citizens, the professional level of the expert must be appropriate. It is clear that the field of religious studies expertise remains relatively new for Kazakhstan. In conclusion, relevant work was carried out in relation to the set tasks, that is, an analysis of the theoretical foundations of conducting religious studies expertise, an informative and expert review of the experience of conducting religious studies expertise in the international world, including the countries of Central Asia, an analysis of the legislative and practical bases of conducting religious studies expertise in the Republic of Kazakhstan, collected On the basis of information, international experience, conducted analysis, tasks such as analysis related to effective methods and ways of conducting religious studies expertise in the country were fully considered. Taking into account the above, we believe that it is necessary to consider the following measures in order to increase the effectiveness of religious studies expertise: - Systematic organization of events at the international level, promoting the goal of exchange of experience in the direction of religious studies expertise by the state and the scientific community; - Development and production of methodological tools, consisting of theological and legal situation collections related to theology expertise; - Consideration of mechanisms for automating the process of organization of theology expertise; - Formation of specific requirements and scientific methods and methodologies for the conduct of theological expertise through the study of international experience related to theological expertise. In conclusion, the religious studies expertise has a very important place in the system of ensuring the legal guarantee of freedom of religious belief and rights, and it is necessary to promote and always organize complex activities, both from the state and society. There should not be a one-sided opinion that religious analysis is conducted only on materials and literature with religious content, therefore, religious analysis is a scientific institution capable of conducting a full expertise of the religious activities of individual religious associations, identifying illegal aspects of their religious activities, and making scientifically based and consistent expert conclusions on their religious activities.
